Multi-Area Scholarship Support

Here at Project OneWay, we have a strong desire to sow not only into the intellectual futures of all participants, but into their financial futures as well. We will offer dynamic scholarship(s) to youth across the State of South Carolina as a symbol of our belief in their future. These scholarships will be a great complement to the extensive mentoring they will have already received as a byproduct of participating in Project OneWay, and will allow them opportunity to exercise their financial literacy as they assess where these scholarships will be best allocated in their own lives.

Update: 2022 is the Inaugural year of Project OneWay's S.E.E.D. Scholarship that will be offered at Ridge View High School to one African American graduating senior. Read the letter from our Founder below, that was distributed all African American Ridge View High School seniors.

Project OneWay, envisioned and founded in 2021, was created with the vision in mind that students would have access not only to education, but also to the pursuit of their entrepreneurial goals and dreams. Already prevalent are a plethora of scholarships and foundations created expressly for the purpose of assisting those originating from underserved communities. While Project OneWay will aim to do this as well, we are equally focused on our strive toward cultivating the development of those individuals who possess the vision and intrinsic motivation to free their peers from the shackles of their environments.

One branch of Project OneWay is our intently named scholarship, “S.E.E.D.”; this is an acronym standing for “Seeking Excellence in an Emerging Demographic.” This year, our scholarship for $1500 is being offered to one (graduating) senior black or African American student at Ridge View High School. This scholarship is not only available to aspiring college students, but also to those aspiring to pursue an entrepreneurial vision either along with, or without pursuing a college education.  This is NOT a written-essay scholarship. All prompt submissions should be in video form, created in a manner consistent with the students’ creativity. There is no GPA requirement, however, students must be considered college and career ready. Both prompts and submission instructions can be found on pages 2 through 4.

The time for this next generation of leaders and visionaries is now upon us, and my prayer is that this dynamic scholarship sown into the right vision will serve as a catalyst in the process of discovery of these individuals. This is the inaugural year of this scholarship, and on behalf of the scholarship Review Board and myself, I want to thank you for simply considering applying. The Review Board cannot wait to view your applications, and we are anticipating the growth of this scholarship both in amount, and quantity of recipients in the next couple of years.

Hopefully Submitted to You,

Tyson K. Brown
